Are you afraid of the things you're seeing? - on the news? in your neighborhood? In your bank account? - Try to change your focus.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is,  seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. ' Colossians 3:1-3

  • Colossians 3:3 tells us that God is keeping our life safe with Christ.

Psalm 37:25 says "I have been young, and now am old; Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread."

We don't need to worry because God will provide for us and our children.

Faithful: "giving with strong assurance; He will honor what He said; He will not go back on it."

There are times we might think God is not going to do what He said He would do, but God is not on our time schedule - He does things in His time, but He is faithful.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? '

In life, people often break their word, but God never breaks His word. He is faithful.
  1. Why is God faithful?
  2. How does He demonstrate His faithfulness?
  3. To whom is God faithful?

Read Joshua 21:43-45 - This is a reminder that even generations later, God will always keep His word. God has not forgotten about you. God promised the people the land to Joshua's ancestors years earlier. Moses wasn't able to go into the new land. He was allowed to see it, but His disobedience to God caused Him to miss the experience of the promise land.

Is your disobedience preventing you from experiencing the promises of God?
  1. Why is God faithful? It is in God's character to be faithful.  (Read 2 Timothy 2:13) Even when we don't obey God, He is still faithful to us. He will never fail.
  2. How does He demonstrate His faithfulness? God keeps His promises, even if it takes time because of our sin. He might delay our blessings because of our sin, but He never changes. (Read Malachi 3:6)
  3. To whom is God faithful? God is faithful to those who trust and follow Him, even if it seems ridiculous. Read Joshua 1:9 God told Joshua to walk around the walls of Jericho everyday for seven days in silence. It might seem weird, but we need to be faithful to do God's will - no matter how small or weird. He will be faithful to fulfill His promises as we believe His word, obey His direction, and walk in faith.

Do you feel like you're in a battle that you're unprepared for? Do you feel like the obstacles in your life are too big?

God has not forgotten any promise He's made. He is faithful to His word.
