Have you forgetten about the mission?
The mission is about "being about the Father's business" as Jesus said to His mother and father in Luke 2:49. God wants us to be about God's business, carrying out His mission.
What is your mission? Your mission is the assignment you've been called to carry out that will draw people to Jesus and point people to God. This is the duty, charge, and gifts God has trusted you with to use for His glory. Do you know your mission?

- To whom have you been called?
- How has God equipped you to do it?
The enemy tries to confuse you in your mission. The devil wants you to forget the mission so that it might lay dorment. He wants you to be distracted from the mission.
The mission of the Christian is to share Jesus. When is the last time you've told someone "Jesus loves you"? That is a LARGE part of the mission.
Matthew 28:19-20 'Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”'
Baptism is an outward sign of what you've already done inside. This verse is not about the type of baptism or denomination. It's about teaching people.
What are we teaching them? The Good News of Salvation through Jesus.
What is the Good News? Romans 10:9 'because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. '
What was Jesus' mission?
- Jesus came to seek and save the lost. Luke 19:10 'For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.' In John 16:7-12 Jesus tells us that after he ascends into heaven, He will send the Holy Spirit to live in us. He lives in us now and fulfills His mission through us. Jesus' mission becomes our mission.
- Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy. Jesus will destroy the works of the enemy which leads to sin in our lives, and then He can fulfill the mission through us. 1 John 3:3-8 says Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, destroying sin in you, causing you to no longer want to sin because Christ lives in you.
- Jesus came to help the helpless. He blessed you to be a blessing. How are you blessing others? Mark 10:45 'For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” '
- Jesus came to give God glory. We, too, ought to give God the glory in all that we do.
Our mission ought to be the same as Jesus' mission. Is this your mission too?
