Jesus told us that He was called to save those who were lost. He fed the hungry, opened blinded eyes, helped the lame walk, gave hearing to the deaf, and he even multiplied the wine at the wedding. These miracles attracted people to Jesus.
In Acts 1:8 we were promised to receive power when the Holy Spirit came on us and we would be witnesses to the people closest to us and farthest from us. Not everyone will be like you. But God saves whoever comes to Him and He chooses to use us to reveal Himself to others - all others.
The scriptures tell us to let your light shine before men. God wants you to be a light so that others will see Christ through you. How are you a light to all others?
God loves everyone. In scripture, we see that Jesus loved gangsters, prostitutes, thief's, drunks, and overzealous religious people.
Matthew 9:7-12 Jesus invited Matthew, who was a Jewish tax collector who many others didn't like, to follow Him. Jesus invites all people to follow Him, even if He uses us to invite them, it is to follow Him. He invites all people - even those who others (religious people) look down on - to know Him personally. Even when religious people didn't understand it, Jesus knew His purpose was to heal the spiritually sick.
Jesus spent time with people who NEED Him. Who are you spending time with?
God wants to rescue and heal ALL people - people of different statuses, economic realities, relationship statuses, sin addictions, etc. - ALL people. As children of God, we should express His love to those who are sick - to those who need it.
Jeremiah 31:3 - tells us that God wants to draw people to Himself through lovingkindness. If that's how He draws us to Himself, how does He want to use you to draw you to Himself.
God shows His love through us. How do you show God's love to people who are different from you?
God will honor you when you love people where they are.
