A Family Reunion

What makes a family?

Is family a group of people connected through blood? adoption? marriage? or strong bonds?

At Kingdom Life Church, we call ourselves family - not just because we support each other, pray for each other, and gather weekly - but because WE ARE FAMILY through the blood of Jesus Christ. 

Galatians 3:26 (AMP) says 'For you [who are born-again have been reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified and] are all children of God [set apart for His purpose with full rights and privileges] through faith in Christ Jesus. '

This past Sunday, we had our third annual family reunion, celebrating our family ties through Jesus Christ.

• We encouraged one another over hot dogs and hamburgers
• We laughed with each other over friendly competition (ring toss, corn hole, basketball, & 'Sing that Song')
• We grew more familiar with God's creatures as we played with farm animals
• And we prayed with each other in the silent moments

God describes His family to be those who have started a new life because they believe in Jesus Christ. Those are the people He calls the children of God. Are you a child of God?
