How is your relationship with God?
Faith is your relationship with God. Are you allowing your faith to be compromised? Do you realize the enemy knows your need and will try to meet it himself, drawing you away from God?
'But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him. ' Hebrews 11:6
- Faith is believing God - that He is real (He exists), and so we seek Him to get to know Him and develop a relationship with Him - not for things.
- We should not build relationships with anyone because of what they can give, but instead, because of who they are. Who is God to you? Do you only go to Him for what He can give you?
- If you don't have faith, you don't have a relationship with God. Jesus prayed for those who God gave Him (John 17:9) - the believers. Those with faith are different. They talk different, dress different, act different, so that the world sees the difference and glorifies God. The world should want Jesus because they see Him in you.
- Do not compromise your faith. Do what He told you to do. Go where He told you to go. Say what He told you to say.
- Read 1 Kings 11:1-12 and learn from his story. Do not compromise your faith (your relationship with God) by developing relationships with the wrong people - people who don't encourage your relationship with God.
- Is there something that can turn your heart from God?
Your relationship with God is the most important relationship you have!
